Tales Of A Horse Trader
Real Life Stories Of Walt Smith
6” x 9” softcover, 128 pages.
Walt Smith never called himself a cowboy, but he was one. He was born and raised at Conquest, Sask. At 12 years of age, he bought his first horse for $19. That fall, his father rented out their farm, leaving no choice but to sell the horse at their auction. It brought $42. He thought, “There is money in this,” and it led to his becoming a horse dealer. For many years that was a large part of his living, and in later years it was his retirement hobby. This book relates many of the incidents of his long and colorful life.
